Piece 01 Sketch to pattern

From sketchto sewingpattern.

Upload a sketch, add the fabric and your measurements. Styli drafts a printable pattern, every seam checked.

Draw it your way.

Pencil, ink, marker or watercolour. A phone photo of the page is enough: Styli reads the silhouette, the seams and the details, and asks when something is unclear.

    The fabric

Name it as exactly as you can. The material changes the ease, the seam allowances and how it is sewn.

  • A tailor measuring a woman's shoulder with a yellow tape measure

    Your measurements

A saved profile or a standard EU size. They stay with you: they are never sent to the AI.

  • A hand holding up a fashion illustration with fabric swatches pinned beside it

    What the drawing can't show

The back, the closure, the lining, the pockets. Anything not drawn or described is left out.

From the page to the cutting table.

  1. Upload the sketch

A photo of the page is enough. Add a back view if the back is different; otherwise Styli works it out from the front.

  2. Styli reads it

Silhouette, neckline, sleeves, closures, seams and what the drawing implies, along with the material and your notes. You confirm the details that matter.

  3. The pattern is drafted

Built from your measurements by Styli's own drafting rules. Every seam is measured against the one it joins before you see it.

  4. Print it, test it, sew it

Your size, at true scale, on A4, A0 or a projector. With a fit report, toile tests, and the sewing order step by step.

Checked to fit before you cut.

Raise your arms, sit, take a stride. Tick what failed and Styli redraws the pattern for you.

Adjust by the centimetre

Longer, wider at the hip, a deeper armhole. The pattern is drawn again with every seam matched.

Every seam measured against the one it joins

Before you see a pattern, Styli measures each seam against the one it is sewn to, allowing for the ease that belongs there. These are the checks on the dress above.

Questions

Do I need to know pattern making?

No. Styli drafts the pattern, checks that every seam matches and tells you how to sew it, step by step. Knowing the basics of sewing helps.

How accurate is it?

Every pattern is built from your measurements and checked by code: seams, sleeve cap and armhole, collar and neckline. No pattern replaces a toile, so Styli gives you the toile tests and fixes the pattern for you when one fails.

What can it draft?

Tops, shirts, dresses, skirts, trousers, jumpsuits, jackets, coats, capes and corsets, plus garments made without a pattern. When a design goes beyond what can be drafted, Styli drafts the base and says how to build the rest.

Does the AI see my measurements?

No. The AI only reads the sketch, its material and your description. Measurements stay with you and your account.

Can I use it with CLO 3D or Gerber?

Yes. Download the pattern as AAMA DXF and import it as a pattern, with notches, grainline and stitching line.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from your account. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. New subscriptions can be refunded within 14 days.

Bring the sketch. Leave with the pattern.
